Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Safety and Security Coordinator, is responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly atmosphere in the building, including screening individuals entering the building, discouraging physical violence of any kind and monitoring consumer and visitor activity. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI's mission, policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Possession of a high school diploma or G.E.D. is required. Must be able to provide crisis intervention as needed (Therapeutic Options A & Therapeutic Options B on an Emergency basis) and must be physically able to do lifting and transferring of physically impaired consumers according to approved agency policies/procedures. Ability to lift, transport and/or physically manage consumers that vary in weight and size, minimally fifty (50) pounds. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to re-certify in CPR/First Aide each year following employment. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required. Possession of a valid Michigan Driver's License and access to reliable means of transportation for job related use is required. May be required to perform job functions at other

Conditional Employment Requirements:
Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. Must pass a pre-employment physical exam. Must pass a pre-employment 5-panel drug screen.

Shift Incentive:
+ $1.25/hour for hours worked 5pm
  • 12am | + $2/hour for hours worked 12am
  • 8am | + $3/hour for weekends worked Friday 5pm
  • Monday 8am.
Hours:
40 hours per week. 11pm-11am Saturday & Sunday; 12pm-8pm Monday & Tuesday.
