Position Responsibilities:
Maintain a professional security presence at an assigned standing post Complete electronic Shift Activity Reports Report for duty in a neat, clean, pressed uniform and maintain required equipment Monitor all persons entering the building and ensure personnel display approved access badges Greet and assist visitors and vendors while verifying appointments with appropriate client staff Conduct hourly security checkpoint scans, including facility and parking area checks Perform patrols of assigned facilities and grounds at random intervals Ensure doors, gates, and vehicles are secured as directed by the client Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and security concerns to the appropriate contacts Escalate security breaches/issues and document incidents according to client procedures Contact proper authorities and client representatives when necessary
Qualifications & Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required Previous security officer experience preferred Knowledge of security procedures, public safety guidelines, and protocols Strong surveillance and observation skills Ability to write detailed incident reports Ability to operate radios, telephone equipment, and/or security monitoring systems Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location Must be able to stand for extended periods while working a standing post Must be dependable, professional, and able to follow client procedures
