Rate of Pay:
$27.64•$31.10 per hour No Driver's License required. A strong knowledge and understanding of the laws of the United States and State of Minnesota is required. Minimum age requirement of 21 years of age. Ability to work with the public is required. Ability to communicate and supervise areas and groups of people and to act responsibly in an emergency situation is required. Training in emergency first aide is required. Knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, Power Point, Access, Excel and Microsoft Outlook is required. Operations are conducted seven days a week; 24 hours a day; and on holidays. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required. Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required. Attention to detail and accuracy is required. Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved. Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies. Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds is required. Walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, pushing, pulling are required. Subject to inside environmental conditions, including work in a smoking environment. Provide supervision and oversight of Security Floor Supervisors and security officers during the assigned shift. Review and approve time off requests, shift swaps, and schedule changes in coordination with departmental staffing needs. Create and maintain the weekly schedule for security officers, ensuring appropriate shift coverage, rest periods, and adherence to labor. Conduct and document annual performance evaluations for security officers and floor supervisors, and provide regular performance feedback throughout the year. Assist the Security Manager with special projects, including audits, investigations, training initiatives, policy updates, and emergency planning. Monitor daily shift activity, review reports, and ensure all incidents are properly documented and escalated when necessary. Ensure security operations maintain a strong focus on customer service, internal controls, and procedural compliance. Support and enforce training, mentoring, and development efforts across all levels of the security team. Act as the on-duty leadership representative for the department in the absence of the Security Manager or Control Officer. Coordinate with other departments to ensure operational needs are met during the shift. Respond to emergencies and major incidents, and manage on-scene activities until relieved by senior leadership. Department uniform is required and provided to the employee, which must be worn during scheduled work hours unless prior arrangements have been made with management. Must attend all mandatory department trainings. Must attend all required Title 31 and/or SARC trainings. Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers. Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
