Job Summary:

Inter-Con Security Systems is seeking a dedicated and experienced Trainer to support the development and delivery of high-quality training programs for security personnel. This role is ideal for a training professional with experience in security, law enforcement, military instruction, public safety, or professional development environments who is passionate about developing people and driving operational excellence. As a Trainer, you will play a critical role in delivering engaging instruction, developing training materials, and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory training requirements. You will work closely with operations leadership to provide impactful training that supports the success of our security programs and personnel. What You'll Do Deliver classroom, practical, and hands-on training across a variety of security-related topics. Facilitate engaging presentations and exercises for both small and large groups. Develop and update training materials, including presentations, lesson plans, syllabi, testing materials, and multimedia resources. Conduct training needs assessments and support curriculum development initiatives. Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with company, state, and federal requirements. Support the implementation of new training programs, policies, and procedures. Provide recommendations and analysis related to training and security program requirements. Collaborate with operational teams to identify and address performance gaps. Ensure all training documentation and record-keeping activities meet established standards. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of experience in training, education, instruction, military training, law enforcement training, professional development, or a related field. Current certification as a CPR, AED, and Adult First Aid Instructor (Red Cross, ASHI, or equivalent accepted). Experience developing and delivering training programs, lesson plans, presentations, and testing materials. Strong understanding of instructional design principles and systematic approaches to training development and delivery. Experience utilizing various training methods, including classroom instruction, on-the-job training (OJT), and web-based learning. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Police Science, Public Safety, Education, or a related field. Instructional Design or Learning & Development certifications. Prior experience within security, public safety, military, or law enforcement organizations. Physical & Travel Requirements Ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Ability to perform physical training activities including running, jumping, defensive tactics, and firearms instruction. Comfortable working in a variety of training environments, including outdoor training facilities and shooting ranges. Ability to travel as needed to support training activities. Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours based on operational training needs.
