Own the Mission. Keep Coverage Strong. At Blackwell Professional Support Services, Inc. , our Security Supervisors don't just "work a post"—they lead operations , support their teams, and ensure our clients receive consistent, professional security coverage around the clock . This is a hands-on leadership role designed for experienced security professionals who thrive in fast-moving, real-world environments and understand that security doesn't clock out . Why This Role Is Different You'll help oversee a security operation that consists of one to two shift differentials (not 24/7). You'll work alongside a dedicated Territory Manager (your direct manager) —you are never operating alone. You'll have the authority and responsibility to step in when coverage matters most. You'll lead from the front—supporting officers, resolving issues, and maintaining continuity when schedules flex and emergencies arise. If you're looking for a role where your leadership actually matters , this is it.

You oversee daily operations at an assigned property, supervise and coach Security Officers, and ensure that essential security coverage is always maintained —even when circumstances change. While a primary work schedule is established, this position requires schedule flexibility . When call-offs occur, emergencies arise, or coverage gaps remain after overtime or flex officers are utilized, management team members—including supervisors—are expected to step in . This expectation is non-negotiable and mission-critical to our operation. What You'll Be Responsible For Supervising and supporting a team of Security Officers across assigned shifts Partnering closely with the Territory Manager to manage a security operation Serving as the first point of contact for officer questions, concerns, and guidance Creating, adjusting, and maintaining weekly schedules to ensure full coverage Reviewing and approving timesheets accurately and on time Training new officers through hands-on instruction and job shadowing Coaching officers through regular inspections, feedback, and performance development Communicating policy updates and procedural changes clearly and consistently Maintaining strong client, resident/tenant, vendor, and visitor relationships Ensuring property access is limited to authorized individuals Completing detailed reports and maintaining clear, timely communication Protecting resident/tenant privacy and confidentiality at all times Executing all duties of assigned posts when coverage requires it Stepping in to fill critical coverage gaps when other staffing solutions are exhausted Supporting additional property-specific needs as required What We're Looking For 21+ years of age Current St. Louis Security License (or ability to obtain) High school diploma or GED 3+ years of customer service experience 1+ year of supervisory or management experience Security or loss prevention experience strongly preferred Strong communication skills—verbal and written Excellent organization, follow-up, and problem-solving abilities Comfortable making decisions in dynamic environments Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Computer literacy with an emphasis on report writing Experience with Microsoft Office a plus Ability to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed Schedule flexibility and a leadership mindset are essential The Reality of the Role (And Why the Right People Love It) This position is ideal for leaders who: Take ownership instead of passing the problem Understand that staffing challenges are part of real security operations Value teamwork between supervisors and management Want a role where performance and reliability are noticed and respected If you're looking for strictly fixed hours with no flexibility, this role won't be the right fit. If you take pride in ensuring the job gets done no matter what , we want to talk to you.
