As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Alarm Response in Canton, MS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology location. You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading docks, entry points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized access, and security-related concerns. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and document entries, incidents, and observations in required reports. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and follow established escalation procedures. Maintain professional communication with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership while supporting a welcoming, orderly environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. X-ray screening experience is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
