AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or unusual conditions. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate departments or locations. Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities, and maintain professional communication with healthcare staff, patients, visitors, and responding public service agencies.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess a valid armed guard card or license. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Handcuffing certification is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
