In this vital role, you will serve as the first line of defense, ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, staff, visitors, and assets. Your proactive approach and keen observation skills will help maintain a secure environment while providing excellent customer service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a safe and welcoming atmosphere across various locations. Duties Monitor entrances and exits to control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors using surveillance systems and manual checks. Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or safety hazards. Utilize CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) systems to oversee activity within the facility and surrounding areas, ensuring all activities are authorized and safe. Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies by assessing situations, managing conflicts professionally, and notifying law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations to ensure accurate record-keeping. Perform loss prevention measures by observing suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism. Assist with conflict management by de-escalating disputes calmly and professionally, ensuring a safe environment for all. Qualifications Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Knowledge of surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, and loss prevention strategies. Certifications in first aid and CPR are a plus; willingness to obtain these certifications is preferred. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle tense situations effectively. Familiarity with security protocols and procedures related to access control and emergency response. Ability to remain alert for extended periods while maintaining professionalism and composure. Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and the public.
