[Insert Deadline, if applicable] Job Description K9 Security and Protection Service Inc., managed by Secure One Management LLC, is seeking a vigilant and professional Unarmed Security Guard to join our team in [Insert Location], North Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by observing and reporting activities, patrolling designated areas, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively to a variety of situations. All Security Professionals in North Carolina must hold a valid guard card and be registered with the Private Protective Services Board (PPSB). Key Responsibilities and Duties Patrol and Surveillance Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the interior and exterior of buildings and facilities. Monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras and alarm systems, to identify and address potential security concerns. Perform security checks on doors, windows, and other entry points to ensure they are properly secured. Incident Response Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations, including medical emergencies and fire alarms. Provide immediate assistance and coordination with law enforcement, emergency services, and other first responders as necessary. Document and report all incidents, observations, and security breaches accurately and promptly. Access Control Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring that only authorized personnel and visitors enter restricted areas. Verify the identification of individuals entering the facility and maintain visitor logs as required. Customer Service Greet and assist employees, visitors, and clients in a courteous and professional manner. Provide information and directions to visitors and address any questions or concerns they may have. Maintain a visible and approachable presence to deter potential security threats and reassure individuals on the premises. Compliance and Reporting Adhere to company policies, procedures, and client-specific security protocols. Maintain accurate records of patrol activities, incidents, and security events in compliance with company standards. Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel. Communication Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and coordinated security operations. Utilize radio or other communication devices to relay information and request assistance when needed.
Qualifications Experience:
Prior experience in security or customer service is preferred but not required. Experience with security systems and patrol duties is advantageous.
Licenses/Certifications:
Must possess a valid North Carolina Security Guard License (guard card) and be registered with the Private Protective Services Board (PPSB). Basic first aid and CPR certification is a plus.
Skills:
Strong observational and analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure or emergency situations. Proficiency in operating security systems and technology.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods. Must be able to respond to emergencies and perform physical tasks as needed.
Background:
Successful completion of a comprehensive background check, including criminal history, is required. A clean driving record may be necessary depending on job duties.
Working Conditions Schedule:
This position requires flexibility, including the potential for night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Environment:
Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors, in varying weather conditions.
