Shift Schedule Friday through Tuesday 3:00pm - 12:00am Wednesday and Thursday off Security Officer (Mobile Advisor) This position serves as a Security Officer, also known as a Mobile Advisor, and is an hourly, non-exempt role reporting to the Safety, Security, and Transportation Manager. Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrates and abides by Covenant Learning Solutions values and operating principles Enforces all authorized laws, rules, and regulations Performs alarm response and patrol duties to protect life and property against theft, vandalism, fire, and other hazards Provides transportation support in accordance with government and organizational directives Assists students, staff, and visitors in a professional and respectful manner Conducts building security and safety checks Receives complaints and conducts preliminary investigations Maintains working relationships with local law enforcement agencies Provides escort services as directed Investigates vehicle accidents on center Issues visitor passes and temporary vehicle permits Completes required reports and maintains accurate security logs Enforces center pass and accountability procedures Attends required training and participates in ongoing development Supports the disciplinary process, including zero tolerance policies related to violence and drugs Assists with reception and control center operations Operates switchboard functions as required Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property Promotes a safe environment free from harassment, intimidation, bullying, and disrespect Performs other duties as assigned These duties describe the general nature of the role and are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required One year of experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related field preferred Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required Additional Requirements Knowledge of crowd control and basic law enforcement procedures is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification must be maintained. Strong communication skills are required. The ability to relate to and work with a diverse student population is essential. This position requires operating standard office equipment and driving government vehicles. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain professional relationships across departments is critical.
