Job Overview Join our team as an Unarmed Security Guard and become a vital part of maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, controlling access points, and ensuring the safety of staff, visitors, and property. Your proactive presence will help deter potential threats and respond effectively to incidents. This position offers an engaging opportunity to apply your security expertise in a dynamic setting while providing excellent service to all who enter the facility. Duties Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the premises and identify any suspicious behavior. Control access by verifying identities of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted areas. Conduct regular patrols of the property to check for security breaches, safety hazards, or unauthorized access. Respond promptly and professionally to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR if necessary. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping. Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when required to manage conflicts or security threats effectively. Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing and reporting theft or vandalism attempts. Requirements Proven ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations; experience in conflict management is a plus. Knowledge of surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and familiarity with security protocols. Certifications in first aid, CPR, and conflict management are highly desirable; willingness to obtain these certifications is expected. Background in law enforcement, military service, or security roles provides valuable insight into security procedures. Strong observational skills with attention to detail during patrols and inspections. Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members, visitors, and emergency responders.
