Job Summary Security Officer Full time, day shift (6a - 6p), every fourth weekend. Works under general supervision to provide a secure and safe environment for the protection of patients, visitors, physicians, hospital personnel, and hospital assets. Hospital security shall be responsible for building and grounds patrol; provide escort service for visitors and staff; assist in the control of facility access; monitoring systems response; staff assistance with patient intervention / disruption by patients, visitors or staff; traffic control of both vehicular and visitors; investigation of thefts, disturbances and suspicious activity; record keeping and incident reporting; enforcement of hospital safety and security policies and practices; disaster, fire and hazard surveillance. GED or High School Diploma required.
