Job Description

Supervises the day-to-day activities of the Security staff on designated shift. Responsible for maintaining the overall security of the organization. Assumes lead role as required.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED 3-5 years experience Valid Driver's License with satisfactory driving record IAHSS Basic Certification CPR, Basic & Advanced Team Training, Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol and Handcuffing Training Must obtain Level C of Hazardous Material Technician certification IAHSS Certificate for Supervisory Training within two years of employment
Major Responsibilities:
Performs duties as outlined in the Security Officer profile on a daily basis. Provides day-to-day supervision and assistance to the Security staff; including scheduling of assignments. Responds and assesses emergency situations including all alarms and codes and provides direction to the Security staff. Provides assistance to patients; visitors and employees as required. Actively seeks out individuals who may need special assistance. Assists with investigations of on-site accidents or security related incidents; including the completion and submission of any necessary reports. Performs orientation and training to new Security Staff; ensuring that all training competencies are complete and up-to-date. Assists supervisor/manager with employment; commendation; disciplinary action and performance reviews of Security staff. Recommends and assists with the implementation; monitoring and enforcement of security and parking policies and procedures. Assists with the application of restraints. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
