General Security - Weekends (Third Shift)

Kendal at Hanover is a non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community, employing over 300 staff members and home to 400 residents. Kendal at Hanover is seeking a part-time, 3rd shift General Security team member to maintain security coverage for the Kendal community (building and grounds). Depending on candidate availability, this position can either be filled by one or two individuals. The schedule for this position is every weekend (Saturday and Sunday night) from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM (16 hours per week for one individual, or if two individuals choose to work one night per week, the total hours would be 8 per week).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

Making appropriate rounds as scheduled in the community, politely questioning any strangers on the premises; Completing rounds and performing routine operation checks of equipment and systems; Filling in the night log and incident reports; Assisting nursing staff with needs such as lockouts, fire alarms, and medic alerts; Responding to emergency needs for general services such as heating, lighting, water, and wastewater; The successful candidate will have: High School degree/equivalent Two years of relevant experience (required) Active driver's license (required) The ability to frequently stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and lift/move up to objects that are 50-100 pounds.
