AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general information, and support a professional environment for everyone at the location. Support emergency and medical-related response procedures by communicating clearly with staff and first responders and following post orders during urgent situations.
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required. Must meet hospital vaccine requirements. Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes exposure to the morgue. Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting when required. A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
