Job Summary Join our dynamic security team as a Security Services Officer, where your vigilance and dedication will safeguard our facilities, assets, and personnel. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in physical security, surveillance, and emergency response to create a safe and secure environment. You will be responsible for monitoring premises, managing access control, conducting patrols, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your proactive approach and commitment to safety will ensure the protection of everyone on site while maintaining compliance with security regulations. Duties Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks Manage access control systems to verify credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors Monitor CCTV surveillance feeds continuously to detect suspicious activity or security breaches Respond promptly to emergency situations using established procedures for fire, medical incidents, or security threats Write detailed incident reports documenting any unusual activity or security incidents for review and follow-up Perform background checks on new personnel as part of the onboarding process to ensure safety compliance Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where permitted), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform first aid or CPR when necessary Enforce loss prevention measures by observing customer behavior and preventing theft or vandalism Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when required for equipment or supplies Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incident management efforts Skills Strong surveillance skills with experience in CCTV operation and monitoring systems Background in military or law enforcement enhances situational awareness and conflict management abilities Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use to respond effectively during emergencies Knowledge of physical security protocols, access control systems, and compliance with security regulations Excellent conflict de-escalation and conflict management skills to handle tense situations professionally Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely while adhering to safety standards Proficient in incident report writing with attention to detail for accurate documentation Customer service-oriented mindset with effective communication skills for interacting with diverse individuals Familiarity with emergency response procedures including fire safety protocols and evacuation plans Experience in performing background checks and conducting loss prevention activities Join us in creating a secure environment where safety is our top priority!
