Job Description

Posting Details This posting will be used for ongoing recruitment and may close at any time. Applicant lists may be screened more than once. Why does the job exist? To provide security, loss control, and protection for staff, clients, residents and visitors. How does it get done? To manage situations in such a way that it minimizes any possibilities of injury to clients, staff and other persons visiting the premises of the New Mexico Behavior Health Institute. Who are the customers? Patients/Clients/Residents/Staff Ideal Candidate Patients/Clients/Residents/Staff Minimum Qualification High School Diploma or equivalent and six (6) months experience in security or law enforcement and police reporting procedures. Any combination of edcuation from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) months may substitute for the required experience. Employment Requirements Must possess a valid Drivers License Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate Working Conditions Work during inclement weather and perform assigned duties for snow removal. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Requires long periods of walking and or standing. Potential Hazards exist when dealing with trespassers, vandals or unruly clients.
