Overview Join our dynamic security team as a Licensed Unarmed Security Guard and play a vital role in safeguarding our facilities, assets, and personnel. As a key protector of our environment, you will ensure compliance with security regulations while delivering exceptional customer service. Your proactive approach will help maintain a secure and welcoming atmosphere for everyone on-site. Responsibilities Conduct routine patrols of the premises, including building interiors, exteriors, and access points, utilizing CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to monitor for suspicious activity. Manage access control systems by verifying credentials, performing background checks, and authorizing entry for authorized personnel, visitors, and vendors. Respond swiftly to emergency situations by following established procedures such as fire safety protocols, first aid administration (including CPR and AED operation), and emergency response procedures. Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or disturbances accurately and promptly. Perform physical security tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary and manual handling to support security operations or assist visitors. De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques to ensure safety while maintaining professionalism and customer service standards. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required, providing assistance during investigations or incidents involving criminal activity or loss prevention. Requirements Valid security license or certification as a Licensed Unarmed Security Guard in accordance with state or local regulations. Proven experience in security roles with knowledge of CCTV surveillance, access control systems, and incident report writing. Strong understanding of physical security measures including patrolling, loss prevention strategies, and manual handling procedures. Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations such as medical emergencies (first aid/CPR/AED), fire alarms, or security breaches. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and conflict de-escalation techniques. Physical fitness to perform duties involving heavy lifting, prolonged standing or walking, and maintaining alertness during long shifts.
