Position Title 2026-27 Youth Assistants Per-Diem Required Application Type School Related Personnel Salary/Pay Scale Per Board-Approved Substitute Rate Job Description The Hilton Central School District is accepting applications for Per-Diem Youth Assistants. Hours will be discussed at interview.

Job responsibilities may include:

Monitoring exterior school buildings, enforcing school parking regulations and parking areas, reporting acts of violence and theft, monitoring doorways, corridors and stairways for truant and disruptive students as well as trespassers, preventing admittance of unauthorized persons to the premises, investigating unusual conditions or disturbance. Provide a safe atmosphere for students and staff on campus. Civil Service Title Guard Job Qualifications High School graduate or possession of GED; Must be currently registered as a Security Guard with New York State, or able to obtain a license within one (1) month of being hired; Minimum of five (5) years experience as a police officer or peace officer; Shows good judgment and discretion; Stays alert and observant throughout the work shift; Displays an even temperament, be well mannered, and be able to comprehend and carry out the objectives in a way that is supportive of the school district as well as the district administration.
