$20.00 per Hour Position Summary We are seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Armed Security Officer to provide security services at a corporate office facility in Dayton, Ohio. The selected candidate will be responsible for protecting employees, visitors, company assets, and property while maintaining a professional presence and delivering exceptional customer service. Schedule Monday through Friday 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM (12-Hour Shifts) Additional night, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required during emergencies, special events, business continuity operations, or staffing shortages. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain a visible armed security presence throughout the corporate campus. Control access to the facility by verifying employee, visitor, and contractor credentials. Conduct routine patrols of buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds. Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems. Respond to security incidents, emergencies, medical situations, and safety concerns. Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation. Investigate suspicious activities and report findings to management. Assist with emergency response procedures, evacuations, and business continuity operations. Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency personnel when necessary. Provide excellent customer service while enforcing company policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age. High School Diploma or GED required. Valid Ohio Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Current Ohio Armed Security Officer Certification and all required state licensing. Ability to legally possess and carry a firearm while on duty. Strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure. Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening. Preferred Qualifications Prior armed security, military, law enforcement, or corporate security experience. CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification. Experience operating CCTV, access control, and alarm monitoring systems. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to conduct interior and exterior foot patrols. Ability to climb stairs and navigate large facilities. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when necessary.
