In this role, you will monitor premises, enforce safety protocols, and provide excellent customer service to visitors and staff. Your proactive approach and keen observation skills will help prevent incidents and ensure the safety of everyone on site. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your security expertise while contributing to a secure community. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or safety hazards Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity and detect suspicious behavior Control access points by verifying identities and issuing visitor passes in accordance with security procedures Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for record-keeping purposes Enforce facility policies related to safety, loss prevention, and visitor conduct Assist visitors and employees with directions or information while maintaining a professional presence Skills Strong observational skills with the ability to identify unusual activity Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and alarm protocols Basic first aid and CPR certification to respond effectively in medical emergencies Experience or training in law enforcement, military, or security fields is a plus Excellent conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations calmly and professionally Familiarity with loss prevention techniques to minimize theft or property damage Ability to handle stressful situations with composure and clarity in accordance with security procedures
