Job Description

The Security Guard is responsible for inspecting, monitoring, controlling, and patrolling company facilities and grounds. This role helps protect company property, employees, and assets by guarding against theft, vandalism, unauthorized entry, fire hazards, and other safety concerns. This is a 3rd Shift Role. 12pm to 8am Essential Responsibilities Preserve order and enforce company security regulations. Inspect equipment and machinery for signs of tampering or unauthorized activity. Patrol buildings, parking areas, and plant grounds. Examine doors, windows, gates, and access points to ensure they are secure and functioning properly; report deficiencies to leadership. Address and report rule violations, including loitering, smoking in unauthorized areas, or possession of prohibited items. Monitor and report conditions that could lead to injury, damage, or loss, including fire hazards, leaks, spills, and unsafe equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum Qualifications No minimum education or experience requirements specified. No required licenses or certifications. Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. First Aid and CPR certification. Completion of an accredited Security Guard training program. Knowledge of plant security policies and procedures. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service skills with the ability to professionally handle a variety of situations. Attention to detail and strong observational skills. Ability to remain professional and maintain composure in challenging situations. Work Environment Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and various shift schedules, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. Ability to work in temperatures ranging from approximately 35°F to 95°F, with occasional exposure outside of those ranges. Work environments may include manufacturing, warehouse, and outdoor areas. Physical Requirements Regular standing and repetitive hand use. Frequent walking and reaching. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Required visual abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. May be exposed to moving mechanical equipment, chemicals, airborne particles, and varying noise levels ranging from office environments to manufacturing and warehouse operations.
