Koch Security Group, LLC Portland, OR Job Details Part-time | Contract $45 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Confidential information handling CCTV Executive protection procedures Driver's License First Aid Certification Driving Armed Security License Basic firearms training Defensive driving AED Certification First aid and CPR Full Job Description Executive Protection Specialist — Koch Security Group Koch Security Group is hiring an Executive Protection Specialist to safeguard senior executives, their families, and visiting VIPs across residential, corporate, and travel environments. This is a role for a seasoned operator — someone who reads a room before entering it, runs a clean advance, and carries themselves with the discretion the principal never has to think about. You'll work alongside a high-performing team on details that range from low-profile residential coverage to international travel and high-visibility events.
Wardrobe varies with the assignment:
plain clothes one day, a tailored suit the next. What you'll do Provide close protection for principals and family members across residences, offices, events, and travel Conduct advances and site surveys; build and brief executable security plans Identify, assess, and communicate threats in real time to support principal decision-making Implement and maintain access control at fixed and temporary locations Serve as the on-detail communications hub for incidents, contingencies, and emergency medical response Coordinate with law enforcement, corporate security, and external partners during operations Evaluate security equipment and systems in sensitive environments and recommend improvements Track domestic and geopolitical developments relevant to principal exposure Contribute to intelligence products and threat briefs for senior leadership Provide administrative and logistical support that protects executive privacy and time Minimum requirements Graduate of a reputable executive protection program (government or private sector) 5+ years of armed private-sector experience, including a minimum of 3 years conducting executive protection Oregon DPSST Armed certification Valid Oregon CHL AED / First Aid / CPR certification Advanced training in defensive tactics, protective/evasive driving, and firearms Valid U.S. driver's license, personal vehicle, and current auto insurance Able to obtain licensure in the state of any assignment Available for on-call hours, including nights and weekends Physically fit and free of any medical condition that would prevent full performance of the role Demonstrated discretion and the ability to hold confidence under pressure Professional wardrobe required, including properly fitted business suits; ability to present in plain clothes through formal business attire, depending on assignment Preferred Prior LEO credentials
