As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Response in Norristown, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while upholding Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

Full Time Pay Rate:
$24.00 / Hour 21+ Years of Age (C101) All applicants must be at least 21 years old at the time of application. This requirement is in place to comply with legal regulations Security Experience
  • 1+ Years (C115) Candidates must have a minimum of one year of relevant security experience.
This experience should be documented and verifiable, demonstrating the candidate's ability to perform the duties required in a security role effectively. Act 235 Qualification (Pennsylvania Only) (C134) For positions based in Pennsylvania, candidates must possess a valid Act 235 qualification. This certification is mandatory for individuals who will be carrying a firearm in the course of their employment. Proof of certification must be provided during the application process. Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with access control systems and badge management. Experience in security or facility management is preferred. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204): Applicants should possess basic computer skills and be comfortable using tablets or similar devices for daily tasks. Proficiency in software applications relevant to the position is a plus. Customer Service Experience (B219): A background in customer service is essential. Candidates should have experience in handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional service. Lift Up to 20 lbs (B208): Candidates must be physically capable of lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds as part of their job responsibilities. Valid Firearms Permit (B217): For positions that require the handling of firearms, candidates must possess a valid firearms permit in accordance with local and state regulations.

PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a critical infrastructure operations location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and reporting requirements. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and document visitors, deliveries, incidents, and unusual conditions in accordance with site procedures. Carry assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site requirements, and coordinate with emergency responders when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Have at least one year of security-related experience. Possess an Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania. Customer service experience is preferred. A valid firearms permit is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
