Security Officer

Responsibilities Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and conduct regular surveillance to detect suspicious activity or security breaches. Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to prevent unauthorized entry. Respond swiftly to emergencies by providing first aid or CPR when necessary, and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency responders as required. Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, de-escalating disputes to maintain a safe environment. Conduct routine patrols of the premises to identify potential security vulnerabilities or safety hazards. Document incidents accurately through detailed reports and logs for future review and action. Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing behaviors that could indicate theft or vandalism, and report findings accordingly. Qualifications Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified. Strong surveillance skills with familiarity using CCTV systems for monitoring large areas effectively. Knowledge of conflict management techniques to handle tense situations professionally. Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining focus on security duties. Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and the public.
