Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Partner with Supply Chain leadership team to provide a visible and proactive physical security and safety presence throughout the assigned supply chain location to ensure Lowe's Safe environment.
- Supervise SC Security Officer expectations for assigned location of responsibility. This includes training, attendance, scheduling, performance, and the management of all Security equipment (CCTV, alarm monitoring, etc.)
- Ensures that all scheduled SC Security Officer posts are properly staffed
- Execute job functions to support the Asset & Protection & Safety Manager
- Validates physical security of the building, per company policy/procedure, throughout the day (Gates, Doors, Perimeter)
- Engagement with over-the-road and dedicated fleet drivers including inbound & outbound processes in compliance with Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT)
- Validate regular safety and physical security audits conducted by the SC Security Officer to ensure proper execution using hand-held mobile devices
- Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior premises to identify potential security concerns both on foot and by using a company-owned vehicle
- De-escalate situations involving associates, visitors, and contractors, using professional techniques.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents, accidents, and emergencies, such as medical situations or fire alarms
- Collaborate with Supply Chain leadership and associates to enforce policies and procedures
- Report any suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or security breaches to the appropriate Leadership.
- Utilize case management system to complete detailed incident reports, including accurate descriptions of events, individuals involved, and actions taken
- Utilize CCTV to monitor physical security and detect unauthorized activities.
- Attend monthly Safety Team meetings to stay informed about updates, concerns, and procedural changes.
- Maintain all required certifications and licenses as required by Lowe's
- Participates in court hearings, if applicable. Updates case files and maintains relationships with local Law Enforcement
- Maintaining State Guard Licensing requirements for the Security Team (if required)
Minimum Requirements:
- High School or GED
- 5-7 Years Retail, security, first-responder, or military experience (or related field)
- 1-2 Years Big-box retail, security, or military experience
- 1-2 Years Experience with detailed incident report-writing
- 1-2 Years Experience conducting quality reviews/audits
- Driver's License
Security License Preferences:
- Associate's Degree with a study in Criminal Justice, Safety, or related security field preferred
- 1-2 Years Experience in using physical security systems (CCTV, EAS, etc.)
- First-Aid Certification
