Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Guard to safeguard our premises, personnel, and assets. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance, access control, and emergency response. Your dedication to safety and security will ensure a safe, welcoming atmosphere for employees, visitors, and contractors alike. Responsibilities Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV to detect suspicious activity and ensure the safety of the premises. Conduct regular patrols of the property, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fences to identify potential security breaches or hazards. Control access points using access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations of personnel and visitors. Respond promptly to emergencies by implementing established procedures including fire safety protocols, first aid administration, AED operation, and emergency evacuation procedures. Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events with clarity and accuracy. Perform background checks on new employees or visitors when required to ensure compliance with security policies. Manage conflict de-escalation techniques effectively while maintaining professionalism during tense situations. Requirements Proven experience in security roles, military service, law enforcement or related fields demonstrating strong physical security skills. Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras and access control systems. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for security operations or emergency response. Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, and Taser use is highly desirable. Familiarity with emergency response procedures including fire safety protocols and incident report writing. Strong communication skills for conflict management and customer service interactions with staff and visitors.
