- This job provides security for patients, guests and employees as assigned, enforces company policies and procedures, and performs assigned duties that ensure the security of patients, guests, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
- Education
- Required - High School diploma or equivalent
- Work Experience
- Required - 1 year of experience in Security, law enforcement, or military
- Certifications
Required:
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association + Valid driver's license in the state of practice and clean DMV report + Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI), and firearms training + International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Certification to be obtained within 90 days of promotion/hire + Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of the FTO Program within the first 60 days of employment- Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- + Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.

The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible. Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue, but exposure or potential for exposure may occur. The incumbent works with patients who have known or suspected communicable diseases and may enter isolation rooms. There may be an occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases. Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste.
