JOB DESCRIPTION
Rogers High School is seeking reliable and responsible staff members to supervise after-school events, athletic games, and student activities. This position ensures that all school-sponsored events are conducted in a safe, orderly, and positive environment for students, families, and guests.
QUALIFICATIONS
Current employee of Newport Public Schools preferred.
Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Dependable and punctual.
Ability to maintain composure and sound judgment in dynamic settings.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise students, spectators, and guests during after-school events, games, and activities.
Monitor entrances, hallways, restrooms, and other designated areas to ensure safety and appropriate behavior.
Support event logistics, including set-up and clean-up as needed.
Communicate promptly with administrators or security staff regarding any concerns or incidents.
Represent the school positively and model respectful and professional behavior at all times.
Ensure compliance with school policies, including the student code of conduct and cell phone policy.
Remain visible and engaged throughout the duration of the assigned event.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
$30 per hour - schedule varies based on the school's event and athletic calendar.
