Part-Time On-Call Security Officer Apollo Security Bluffton, SC 1st, 2nd or 3rd shifts Join a Team That Protects Communities Apollo Security is seeking dependable, professional, and customer-focused Security Officers to join our growing team. This position is ideal for individuals looking for supplemental income, retired law enforcement or military personnel, students pursuing criminal justice, or experienced security professionals seeking flexible hours. As an On-Call Security Officer , you will provide coverage at gated communities and residential neighborhoods by filling open shifts due to vacations, call-outs, and special assignments. While this position does not have a fixed weekly schedule, officers can expect to work at least one scheduled shift per week while remaining available one additional day each week for on-call coverage. Position Summary The On-Call Security Officer serves as a visible deterrent to criminal activity while providing outstanding customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and property management. Officers may be assigned to staffed gatehouses or mobile patrol positions throughout various residential communities. Responsibilities Staff community gatehouses and control vehicle access. Verify visitors, vendors, contractors, and deliveries. Monitor entrances and exits while maintaining accurate visitor logs. Conduct mobile patrols of residential communities. Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and policy violations. Complete detailed incident and activity reports. Respond professionally to resident requests and customer concerns. Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and emergency responders. Enforce community rules and security procedures. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Arrive on time and ready to work for scheduled and on-call assignments. Schedule Part-Time Position Minimum of one scheduled shift per week Required availability for one designated on-call day each week Additional shifts available based on staffing needs Day, evening, overnight, weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts may be available This position is perfect for someone who values flexibility while maintaining consistent supplemental employment.
