Charleston, South Carolina Security Non-Clinical Support Services Full Time Hospital Authority (MUHA) Job Description Summary The Medical Center Security Officer provides security services for Care Team Members, patients, visitors, and our Medical Facilities. The Security Officer must have the ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with our Care Team Members and the public. Must have knowledge of security practices and protocols. A Bachelor's degree or other relevant certifications may be substituted for the required work experience. Must obtain and be able to maintain the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety certification (IAHSS) within the first year of employment. Must have a valid South Carolina Driver's License.

Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.
