Starting pay Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Unarmed Security Officer to uphold safety and security across our facilities. In this dynamic role, you will monitor premises using surveillance systems, perform thorough background checks, and manage conflict situations with professionalism and confidence. Your proactive approach will help prevent loss, ensure the safety of staff and visitors, and maintain a secure environment at all times. Responsibilities Conduct continuous surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity and identify potential security threats. Perform detailed background checks on visitors, contractors, and employees to verify identities and ensure compliance with security protocols. Respond promptly to security incidents or disturbances, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations effectively. Execute manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for security equipment or incident response. Operate security tools such as Taser, AED (Automated External Defibrillator), and CPR equipment in emergency situations. Enforce loss prevention strategies by monitoring for suspicious activity and preventing theft or vandalism. Maintain accurate records through shift reports, incident logs, and surveillance documentation to support ongoing security operations. Qualifications Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Knowledge of CCTV surveillance systems, manual handling procedures, and performing background checks. Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use are preferred. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks as required. Familiarity with security equipment including CCTV cameras and loss prevention tools. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail in surveillance activities.
