An Armed Security Officer provides security for property at hospitals, hotels, warehouses or office buildings. Have a license to carry a weapon ranging from a club to a firearm. Monitors entrances and patrols buildings, watches for intruders or vandals; reports building maintenance problems; deals with customers or visitors that create a disturbance in the building.

Job Description
- Shift to be filled: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8p-12a.
- Must have active/valid Armed Guard License
- Must have valid DL
- Must be able to pass background and drug screen.
Responsibilities:
- Provide armed security services to ensure the safety and protection of clients, employees, and the premises
- Conduct regular patrols of the assigned area to deter and detect any suspicious activity
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify potential security threats
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and take appropriate action, including contacting law enforcement if necessary
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations
- Enforce access control procedures to restrict unauthorized entry
- Conduct thorough security checks of individuals, vehicles, and packages entering or leaving the premises
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed
Skills:
- Possess a valid CPR certificate and first aid training
- Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is highly desirable
- Proficient in surveillance techniques and the operation of CCTV systems
- Strong conflict management skills to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies to prevent theft or damage to property
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, employees, and law enforcement personnel
