Sunstates Security is hiring Unarmed Security Officers in the Kingsport, TN area. Part Time Day and Night Shifts are available! These positions offer a pay rate of $16.25 with weekly pay. Job Requirements a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } Position Overview Sunstates Security is seeking professional Security Officers to support a paper mill facility in Kingsport, TN . This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through access control, patrol operations, visitor management, and facility security. Candidates who thrive in fast-paced industrial environments and enjoy interacting with employees, contractors, and delivery personnel are encouraged to apply. Primary Responsibilities Security Officers will be expected to: Provide professional security support at a busy paper mill operation in Kingsport, TN. Control access for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors entering and exiting the facility. Monitor truck traffic, raw material deliveries, shipping activity, and mill operations. Conduct vehicle inspections, credential verification, and gatehouse operations in accordance with site procedures. Perform routine patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter zones. Respond to alarms, safety incidents, emergencies, and security concerns while following established escalation procedures. Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, truck logs, visitor logs, and other required documentation. Maintain a visible security presence to promote a safe and secure work environment. Follow all client-specific post orders, safety requirements, and Sunstates Security standards. Communicate effectively with plant management, truck drivers, contractors, employees, emergency responders, and Sunstates leadership. Minimum Requirements Must be eligible to work in the United States. Must be able to work in Kingsport, TN . Must be reliable, punctual, and professional. Must possess strong customer service and communication skills. Must be comfortable working in an active industrial/paper mill environment (including noise, equipment, and outdoor conditions). Must be able to complete detailed reports and documentation accurately. Must be able to work weekends and company-observed holidays as assigned. Prior security, military, law enforcement, industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or customer service experience preferred. Active Tennessee security licensing (if required) or ability to obtain and maintain required credentials preferred. Ideal Candidate Profile The strongest candidates will possess: Experience working in industrial facilities, paper mills, manufacturing plants, or heavy equipment environments . Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures. Experience with access control, visitor management, and vehicle inspections. Professional communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accountability. Sound judgment and decision-making abilities during incidents and emergencies. Flexibility to support additional shifts when operational needs arise. Reliable transportation to Kingsport, TN . Position Summary This position is ideal for individuals seeking a professional security role supporting a paper mill and industrial operation , while gaining experience in access control, industrial security, gate operations, and facility safety within a manufacturing environment. A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
