Pay Rate Full-Time Armed Security Officer:
$55,000-$75,000 per year
Part-Time Armed Security Officer:
$20.00-$35.00 per hour
Unarmed Security Officer:
$16.00-$20.00 per hour Compensation is based on assignment, experience, licensure, availability, qualifications, and assigned responsibilities. Higher rates may be available for specialized assignments. Qualified applicants may also be considered for lead or supervisory roles based on experience, licensure, leadership background, professionalism, and operational needs. Lead or supervisory assignments may include additional compensation depending on the role and responsibilities. Position Summary KH Executive Security Consultants is seeking professional, dependable Armed and Unarmed Security Officers to support assigned client sites. Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through professional security presence, patrol, access control, monitoring, incident response, and accurate documentation. Key Responsibilities Follow KHESC policies, post orders, SOPs, and client site procedures. Conduct foot, vehicle, interior, and exterior patrols to identify security concerns, hazards, unsecured areas, and unauthorized activity. Control access points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor/vendor logs when assigned. Monitor CCTV, alarms, surveillance systems, and other security technology when assigned. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and emergencies using sound judgment and de-escalation techniques. Notify supervisors, client representatives, law enforcement, fire, or EMS when appropriate. Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation. Operate assigned security equipment, including radios, phones, reporting applications, patrol vehicles, and related technology. Protect client property, personnel, information, and operations. Perform other duties as assigned consistent with security operations. Minimum Qualifications / RequirementsGeneral Requirements — All Positions Applicants must: Have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation to and from assigned work locations. Be willing and able to successfully complete KHESC's screening process, which may include employment verification, reference checks, drug screening, motor vehicle record review, and a criminal background investigation. Be able to meet applicable Tennessee security guard licensing requirements. Demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, effective communication, and the ability to follow instructions and complete accurate reports. Armed Assignments Applicants for armed assignments must possess or be able to obtain the required Tennessee Armed Security Guard license and meet one or more of the following experience requirements: Current or former law enforcement officer with a minimum of 3 years of experience; or Military police, security forces, or similar military law enforcement experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience; or Corrections or detention experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience; or Minimum of 10 years of professional security experience. Unarmed Assignments Applicants for unarmed assignments must possess or be able to obtain the required Tennessee Unarmed Security Guard license. Preferred experience for unarmed assignments includes: Prior security, law enforcement, military, corrections, emergency services, or related experience. Experience conducting patrols, monitoring assigned areas, identifying suspicious activity, and reporting concerns accurately. CCTV monitoring or surveillance experience for posts requiring camera monitoring. Preferred Qualifications Prior lead, supervisory, or site management experience. CPR / First Aid / AED certification. De-escalation, crisis intervention, or conflict resolution training. Part 107 license for drone operations. Experience using security technology, including radios, reporting software, surveillance systems, and other security-related equipment. Physical and Work Requirements Applicants must be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Sit, drive, and patrol for extended periods as required. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Occasionally lift, carry, or move equipment or supplies up to 50 pounds. Wear required duty gear, uniform items, PPE, and ballistic vest when assigned. Benefits Benefits available and may vary based on position type, assignment, and employment status.
