A Security Officer provides security for property at hospitals, hotels, warehouses or office buildings. Monitors entrances and patrols buildings, watches for intruders or vandals; reports building maintenance problems; deals with customers or visitors that create a disturbance in the building.
Responsible for the overall operations of security and maintaining a secure environment for patients, visitors and all hospital personnel and medical staff. Assist in controlling any violent patients, visitors, or employees. Responsible for controlling visitors, patrolling parking lots, assuring that vehicles are correctly parked. Patrol area and report any problems. Serves as an active member of the fire brigade. Protect the Medical Center building, assets, and premises as assigned. 5 years of experience in security supervision preferred. Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.: Non-commission security officer.
