Schedule:

Saturday & Sunday, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and professional Part-Time Security Officer to support operations at a busy cruise ship terminal in Galveston, TX. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for passengers, employees, and visitors while delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Monitor and patrol assigned areas of the cruise terminal to ensure safety and security Control access points and verify credentials of employees, vendors, and visitors Provide directions and assistance to passengers and guests in a courteous manner Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or security violations Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies Write accurate daily activity and incident reports Follow all site-specific post orders and security procedures Requirements Valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) - Required Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours) Strong observation and communication skills Professional demeanor and customer service skills Ability to follow instructions and work independently Must be punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented Preferred Qualifications Prior security experience is a plus Experience working in ports, terminals, or high-traffic environments preferred Work Environment Outdoor and indoor environment at a cruise ship terminal Exposure to varying weather conditions High foot traffic environment requiring attentiveness and professionalism Why Join Us?
