Overview Join our dynamic security team as an Armed (Tier 3) Security Officer, where your expertise will be vital in safeguarding high-value assets, personnel, and property. This role demands a proactive and vigilant approach, combining physical presence with advanced security skills to maintain a secure environment. You will be responsible for monitoring premises, managing access control, and responding swiftly to incidents, ensuring safety and security at all times. Your commitment to professionalism and integrity will help uphold our reputation for excellence in security services. Duties Conduct thorough security patrols of the premises, including restricted areas, to deter unauthorized access and identify potential threats. Manage access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors with precision and professionalism. Operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to monitor activity continuously and identify suspicious behavior or security breaches. Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders as necessary to ensure safety. Enforce loss prevention protocols by observing for theft or vandalism and taking appropriate action in line with company policies. Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security records accurately for accountability and future reference. Apply conflict management techniques effectively to de-escalate tense situations while maintaining a calm and authoritative presence. Qualifications Proven experience in security operations, law enforcement, military service, or related fields demonstrating strong situational awareness. Valid armed security license or certification as required by local regulations; active firearm training preferred. Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras and alarm systems; ability to operate them efficiently. Certifications in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and conflict management are highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and decisively while maintaining professionalism. Strong understanding of loss prevention strategies and security best practices.
