Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Guard to safeguard our premises, personnel, and assets. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance, access control, incident response, and customer service. Your dedication to safety and compliance will ensure a safe, welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Responsibilities Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure safety across the premises. Conduct regular patrols of the property, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fences, to identify potential security threats or hazards. Control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations of visitors, contractors, and employees. Respond promptly to emergencies by executing established emergency response procedures, including fire safety protocols and medical incidents. Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual occurrences with clarity and accuracy. Perform background checks on new personnel as part of the onboarding process to ensure compliance with security regulations. Manage conflict de-escalation techniques when addressing disputes or disruptive behavior while maintaining professionalism and safety. Experience Prior experience in security or law enforcement roles is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to operate CCTV systems, fire alarm systems, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), Taser devices, and firearms handling where applicable. Knowledge of emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, and basic firefighting techniques. Familiarity with manual handling practices for heavy lifting and physical security measures. Proven skills in conflict management, loss prevention strategies, and performing background checks. Strong understanding of security regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in physical security management. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences while maintaining authority and professionalism.
