$20 per hour The Saturday assignment is a longer shift and may be divided into two portions when needed to make the schedule more manageable. Position Overview Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Armed Security Officer to provide overnight security coverage in Salt Lake City. This is a single-officer assignment, so the selected candidate must be comfortable working independently, staying alert, and making sound decisions without another officer immediately available. The position requires regular foot patrols, property monitoring, access checks, and professional communication with individuals encountered during the shift. The ideal candidate is reliable, observant, calm under pressure, and confident handling responsibilities independently. Job Duties and Position-Specific Information Conduct foot patrols approximately once every hour throughout the assigned property. Check doors, gates, and access points to ensure they remain locked and secure. Inspect fence lines for damage, openings, or other security concerns. Monitor for unauthorized individuals, suspicious activity, theft, tampering, or property damage. Observe equipment, building materials, and other property for unusual conditions. Use your personal vehicle for property monitoring during designated periods between foot patrols. Maintain an active and visible security presence throughout each shift. Respond calmly and professionally to unexpected or high-stress situations. Use appropriate verbal de-escalation techniques when dealing with tense interactions. Communicate security requirements clearly while avoiding unnecessary confrontation. Complete required patrol records, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately. Report significant concerns or incidents promptly through established company procedures. Follow all applicable post orders, company policies, and assignment requirements. Position Requirements Active Utah armed guard card required. Personal firearm required for this assignment. Firearm must meet applicable Utah DOPL standards. Trigger or firing-pin modifications are not authorized. Personal vehicle required for designated property-monitoring duties. Reliable transportation to and from work. Ability to work independently as the sole officer assigned to the post. Ability to remain alert and focused during overnight hours. Ability to complete recurring foot patrols. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to professionally de-escalate high-stress situations. Dependable attendance, punctuality, and professional conduct.
