Job Description
Job Overview Prestige Protection Professionals is seeking dependable and professional Security Officers to provide security services for a community center in Charlottesville, Virginia. This position requires coverage during two daily shifts—early morning and overnight hours—seven days per week on an ongoing basis. The ideal candidate will be reliable, observant, customer-service oriented, and capable of maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and community members. Available Shifts Early Morning Shift Overnight Shift Weekend Availability Required Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available Responsibilities Monitor and patrol assigned areas of the community center and surrounding property Control access to facilities and verify authorized entry Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident reports Respond appropriately to emergencies and unusual situations Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal activity Provide excellent customer service to visitors, staff, and community members Communicate effectively with management and local law enforcement when necessary Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to remain alert and professional during overnight hours Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Must pass a background check Previous security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred but not required Must possess an active DCJS Unarmed Security license Preferred Skills Report Writing Conflict Resolution Access Control Patrol Operations Customer Service Emergency Response Benefits Competitive Pay Consistent Full-Time Hours Opportunities for Advancement Professional Training Supportive Management Team Workers compensation Work Location Charlottesville, Virginia About Prestige Protection Professionals Prestige Protection Professionals is committed to providing professional, reliable, and customer-focused security services.
