Active Security designs, develops, implements, and sustains advanced C5ISR and security solutions to enhance defense and mission capabilities, addressing threats across physical, electronic, cyber, and communications security for Mission Critical Commercial and U.S. Government clients. Our teams are essential in installing, programming, maintaining, and repairing these complex systems in high-security environments, ensuring compliance with codes, client specifications, and internal standards.Job Summary:
The Site Security Guard supports daily security operations at active construction sites. This role serves as the primary point of contact for on-site security guards and the General Contractor, ensuring site access control, incident reporting, and adherence to security protocols. This is an administrative and field-based role designed for individuals who are highly organized, reliable, and interested in developing a long-term career in the electronic security industry.Work Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday Daily start time: 4:30 AM Typical shift length: 8-9 hours, depending on project needs Flexibility may be required based on construction schedules and site requirementsResponsibilities:
Site Security Coordination- Act as the main point of contact for security guards and site leadership
- Coordinate daily security operations and ensure proper site coverage
- Monitor access control procedures and enforce site security protocols General Contractor & Stakeholder Communication
- Interface directly with the General Contractor and project teams
- Communicate security updates, incidents, and access needs
- Support coordination of site activities related to security Administrative Support
- Maintain daily logs, reports, and incident documentation
- Track personnel access and visitor records
- Ensure compliance with company policies and site requirements Site Presence & Oversight
- Conduct site walkthroughs to ensure security procedures are followed
- Support early morning or variable shifts based on project needs
- Assist with basic coordination of security-related equipment or processes Career Development
- Participate in training and exposure to electronic security systems
- Gain foundational knowledge to transition into an Electronics Technician I role
Qualifications:
Education & Skills- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in construction, security, or administrative coordination preferred
- Entry-level candidates with strong organizational skills encouraged to apply Skills & Abilities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor when interacting with clients and site personnel
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, reporting tools) Preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
