Sunstates Security is hiring Unarmed Security Officers in the Eagle Rock, VA area. Weekend overnights are available! These positions offer a pay rate of $21.00/hr, with weekly pay. Position Overview Sunstates Security is seeking professional Security Officers to support a large-scale construction project in Eagle Rock, VA. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through access control, patrol operations, visitor management, and site security. Candidates who enjoy working independently in an outdoor environment and maintaining a strong security presence are encouraged to apply. Job Requirements Primary Responsibilities Security Officers will be expected to: Provide professional security support at an active construction site in Eagle Rock, VA. Control access for employees, contractors, vendors, visitors, and authorized personnel entering and exiting the property. Verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and enforce site access procedures. Conduct vehicle inspections and monitor incoming and outgoing traffic as required by site procedures. Perform routine patrols of construction, staging, parking, and perimeter areas. Monitor site conditions and report safety concerns, suspicious activity, security violations, and unauthorized access attempts. Respond to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and security concerns while following established escalation procedures. Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, visitor logs, vehicle logs, and other required documentation. Maintain a visible security presence to promote a safe and secure work environment. Follow all client-specific post orders, safety requirements, and Sunstates Security standards. Communicate effectively with client representatives, contractors, employees, emergency responders, and Sunstates leadership. Minimum Requirements Must be able to work in Eagle Rock, VA. Must be reliable, punctual, and professional. Must possess strong customer service and communication skills. Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to complete detailed reports and documentation accurately. Must be able to work days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and company-observed holidays as assigned. Prior security, military, law enforcement, construction site, industrial, transportation, dispatch, or customer service experience preferred. Active Virginia DCJS Security Officer Registration preferred or ability to obtain and maintain required credentials. Ideal Candidate Profile The strongest candidates will possess: Experience working at construction sites, industrial facilities, infrastructure projects, manufacturing environments, or similar locations. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures. Experience with access control, visitor management, and vehicle inspections. Professional communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accountability. Sound judgment and decision-making abilities during incidents and emergencies. Flexibility to support additional shifts when operational needs arise. Reliable transportation to Eagle Rock, VA. Ability to work effectively in remote or outdoor environments.

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
