MUST HAVE A VALID DCJS LICENSE TO BE CONSIDERED
Position Overview We are currently hiring professional and dependable Unarmed Security Officers for multiple client locations throughout the Hampton Roads area. Available assignments may include office buildings, public facilities, residential communities, shopping centers, libraries, clinics, industrial properties, and other professional environments. Officers will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure atmosphere while providing excellent customer service and professionalism at all times. We are seeking individuals who are reliable, observant, and capable of adapting to different site assignments and responsibilities as needed. Both full-time and part-time positions are available with permanent scheduling, guaranteed hours for qualified officers, and advancement opportunities into supervisory roles. Responsibilities Maintain a visible and professional security presence Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and surrounding property Conduct interior and exterior patrols on foot or vehicle when required Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations Assist visitors, residents, staff, customers, and vendors as needed Respond appropriately to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation Enforce client policies and site procedures professionally Communicate effectively with supervisors, management, and emergency personnel Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment across assigned properties Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Prior security, military, customer service, or public-facing experience preferred but not required Strong communication and observation skills Professional appearance and demeanor required Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Reliable transportation required Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must pass background screening and drug screening Active DCJS registration preferred but not required for all positions Preferred Experience Patrol experience Customer service background Report writing and documentation De-escalation and conflict resolution Experience working in public or commercial environments Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience and assignment Full-time and part-time opportunities available Permanent schedules and guaranteed hours for qualified officers Overtime opportunities available Weekly pay options available Professional uniforms provided Opportunities for advancement into lead and supervisory positions Available Shifts Day shifts Evening shifts Overnight shifts Weekday and weekend schedules available "Immediate openings - qualified candidates can be scheduled for interviews within 24-48 hours."
