We are seeking a dedicated Unarmed Construction Security Guard to provide comprehensive security services for an active construction site. This position involves access control management, perimeter monitoring, and 24/7 site protection through gate duties and patrol activities. The successful candidate will ensure site security by controlling access, maintaining vigilance against unauthorized activities, and enforcing established security protocols. The Unarmed Construction Security Officer will be responsible for the following:

Gate Guard DutiesMonitor and control the primary access point to the construction site during operational hoursVerify identification of all personnel, visitors, and contractors against approved access listsValidate vehicle access permissions for authorized companies and individualsOperate movable traffic barriers to control ingress and egressDirect vehicle and pedestrian traffic to appropriate entry points for validationMaintain accurate logs of all site entries and exitsAccess Control ManagementEnforce strict access control protocols at primary and alternative entry pointsCollaborate with the General Contractor to maintain the current electronic access listsConduct manual ID verification against government-issued identificationOperate technical security systems as requiredEnsure only authorized personnel enter construction areasStaff alternative access points when required for deliveries or equipment movement24/7 Patrol OperationsConduct regular perimeter patrols during non-construction hoursClosely monitor and maintain access control on interior construction areasPerform randomized site inspections to detect unauthorized activityDocument and report any security incidents or safety concernsRespond to alarms and emergency situations according to established protocolsAdministrative DutiesComplete detailed shift reports and incident documentationCoordinate with the General Contractor on access list updatesFollow established "post orders" and security proceduresCommunicate effectively with construction personnel and managementMaintain professional appearance and conduct at all timesOther duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious security experience preferred, construction site experience a plusValid security guard license as required by state/local regulationsClean background check and drug screeningU.S. Citizenship Skills and AbilitiesStrong attention to detail and observational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesProficiency with electronic access control systemsAbility to work independently and make sound decisionsPhysical capability to conduct walking patrols and stand for extended periodsBasic computer skills for maintaining electronic access listsAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screening and periodic random drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to bend at the waist, knees, and waist. Must have the physical ability to perform a variety of training functions.

Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, walk long distances in a training facility, and operate equipment. Must be physically capable of standing an 8-hour post.
