Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Security Specialist II to lead the configuration, programming, integration, and commissioning of advanced security systems. This position provides technical oversight throughout installation and post-installation while supporting field technicians, internal teams, and clients. The ideal candidate is an independent problem-solver with strong experience in integrated security systems, including access control, CCTV/VMS, and intrusion systems . Key Responsibilities Lead configuration, programming, and integration of access control, CCTV/VMS, and intrusion systems. Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to ensure accurate system setup. Troubleshoot technical issues during installation and post-installation. Support field technicians with programming and technical challenges. Coordinate with project managers and internal teams to meet project requirements and timelines. Perform system testing, commissioning, and validation. Maintain system configurations, documentation, and as-built updates. Provide technical support and system guidance to clients. Recommend system improvements based on performance and client needs. Physical & Work Requirements Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Ability to support security system installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical field activities. Ability to review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and system diagrams. Hybrid position based in Winchester, Virginia . Experience 3-6+ years of experience in security systems, low-voltage integration, or a related field. Hands-on experience configuring, programming, and troubleshooting integrated security systems. Experience with LenelS2 and/or Software House CCURE preferred. Experience supporting multi-site or enterprise-level security deployments. Strong understanding of networking concepts and system integrations. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Virginia DCJS Security Technician and Locksmith certifications preferred.
