Job Description

The Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding the people, property, and assets of the Swinomish Casino & Lodge while delivering exceptional guest service. This role performs interior and exterior patrols, verifies identification, monitors guest and employee activity, responds to incidents, and assists with emergency situations. Officers help maintain a safe, welcoming environment by enforcing policies, providing crowd control, handling reports, escorting assets, and supporting casino operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Patrol casino, lodge, parking areas, and public spaces Monitor and report suspicious or unsafe activity Verify guest identification and prevent unauthorized access Assist with crowd control, incident response, and emergency situations Escort assets, assist with box pulls, and support drop team operations as assigned Provide first aid, complete reports, and maintain confidentiality Deliver professional, courteous service to guests, vendors, and team members
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Security or law enforcement experience preferred Strong guest service and communication skills Valid driver's license (WA license required within 30 days of hire) Ability to meet physical demands, including prolonged walking and lifting CPR/First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain) Class III Swinomish Gaming Commission License required upon employment
Work Environment:
Fast-paced casino environment with variable shifts, loud noise, flashing lights, and frequent public interaction. Must be flexible with schedule and comfortable handling challenging situations professionally.
