Role:
As a professional at RSU, you will be at the forefront of our mission to ensure community safety and provide essential outreach services. These roles combine the responsibilities of a licensed security guard with the compassionate duties of a community support agent, learning in both static security posts, as well as our community safety operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Surveillance and Security:
Conduct regular patrols and surveillance to detect and prevent security breaches. Implement and enforce security protocols to protect personnel and assets.
Incident Response:
Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies, ensuring a swift and effective resolution. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed.
CCTV & Access Control Monitoring:
Monitor CCTV systems and Access Control devices to identify and address suspicious activities.
First Aid and CPR:
Provide first aid and CPR in emergency situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals.
Community Outreach Support:
Engage with the houseless community to identify needs, provide support, and connect individuals with essential resources.
Conflict Management:
Handle conflict situations with professionalism and effective de-escalation techniques.
Loss Prevention:
Develop and implement strategies to minimize risks and manage loss prevention.
Qualifications:
Must have an active Washington State Guard Card or have possessed one within the last 6 months (We are currently filling spots that require active security guards or those that have been WA security personnel.) Age 21 or older with a high school diploma Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation with proof of insurance Certification in other security skills or a related field is a plus Lift/Drag minimum of 60lbs Proficiency in basic computer navigation and smartphone applications Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and emergency response protocols Strong conflict management and interpersonal skills Compassionate and understanding approach to houselessness Flexibility to cross-train and collaborate with other services and resources Why RSU?
