License/Certification Required:
Active Top Secret Clearance Minimum Experience:
3 to 5 year experience in the physical security / access control field. Experience working with alarms and CCTV's. Automated Security Systems and Computer skills experience. Knowledge of radio communications and Base Radio System; ability to rapidly relay information via radio. Writing skills; ability to write information in a computerized logging system in an efficient manner.
Functional Responsibility:
Access control / SOC specialist is responsible for providing physical security through the management of personnel access to restricted areas and facilities. Monitors alarm systems and Close Circuit Televisions (CCTVs), maintains appropriate automated and manual logs and computer databases, responsible for performing the above tasks and may perform other related duties as designated by the FBI. Work assignments include but are not limited to: Implementing, monitoring and operating access control systems. Receives, responds and directs emergency personnel, ensure access control security system; processes, procedures, and policies comply with Executive Orders, DCID, agency guidelines and all authoritative guidelines and national standards formulating, planning and developing security improvements to the access controls to strengthen existing programs, and ensures that unauthorized individuals are prevented from accessing the facility and safeguards against possible espionage, damage, theft and related threats.
Minimum Education:
High school diploma (Bachelor's degree preferred).
