Financial Security Coordinator Financial Security Coordinators will serve on-site with a nonprofit partner in the Tygart Valley region. These Members will be the lead on-site VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) experts for the full duration of the Program, serving from October 2026 through August 2027. Financial Security Coordinators will— Act as the main point of contact for VITA and Financial Security programming for their assigned service site. Learn financial literacy and tax preparation tools and state and federal tax laws Deliver financial literacy and free tax preparation education in 1-1 and group settings Attend community events and perform outreach to promote program services and recruit volunteers Arrange meetings with local partners to explore program expansion Ensure site compliance withIRS VITA
policies and procedures Maintain accurate site records regarding VITA and Financial Security Program participants Keep accurate inventory and perform condition checks on all VITA equipment and workstations Respect the privacy and confidentiality of all parties accessing VITA services Assist partner site with events and programming as allowable Perform any other reasonable Program-related tasks assigned byTHRIVE Staff Schedule:
October 2026 to August 2027 9 a.m. — 5 p.m., Monday through Friday by default, with fluctuation depending on service site hours of operation, holidays, etc. This full-time position offers a living allowance of $20,400, an education award of $7,395, health insurance benefits, childcare assistance, student loan forbearance, and valuable ongoing training provided by Tygart Valley United Way and the THRIVE AmeriCorps program.
